On the morning of September 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, a symposium on the Professional Doctorate Program in Resources and Environment between Anhui University and Chang'an University was successfully held in the meeting room of the College of Geological Engineering and Geomatics at the East Courtyard, South Campus (Yanta Campus) of Chang'an University. A delegation from Anhui University's College of Resources and Environmental Engineering, including Dean Wan Xia, Vice Dean Hu Hong, and Vice Dean Zhu Xiaojun, made a special visit. They were met by representatives from Chang'an University's College of Geological Engineering and Geomatics, including Party Secretary Wang Shuying, Vice Dean Shen Yanjun, Vice Dean Zhu Wu, and Academic Secretary Li Yuanyuan. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the core topic of development experience for the doctoral program, jointly exploring new paths for disciplinary advancement.
The meeting began with Vice Dean Zhu Wu of Chang'an University extending a warm welcome to the delegation from Anhui University and introducing the attendees from both institutions. Following this, Party Secretary Wang Shuying delivered an address on behalf of the College of Geological Engineering and Geomatics. She noted that the Professional Doctorate Program in Resources and Environment is a key testament to advancing interdisciplinary integration. She stated that Chang'an University possesses extensive experience in developing its Professional Doctorate Program in Resources and Environment. Subsequently, Vice Dean Shen Yanjun delivered a special report on the Core Framework for the Development of the Professional Doctorate Program in Resources and Environment. He systematically outlined the curriculum and training plan at Chang'an University from five key dimensions, providing a solid basis for further discussion. The two sides then engaged in a lively exchange, focusing on the key challenges and potential areas for cooperation in the development of the doctoral program.
At the end of the meeting, Vice Dean Zhu Wu delivered the concluding remarks. He emphasized that the symposium had successfully achieved its intended goals of sharing experience and setting the tone for cooperation.
